Anyone replace the stock vaccum line to the waste gate stock bpv and the manifold one. My boost gauge is reading the same as it was before the hks install any suggestions

my gauge was reading 7 to 7 1/2 before now it was reading like 5 or 6 but i did have running on the same line as the hks so i think that may be it Was the line to the wastgate hard to get to

yep your suppose to give that bioch its own vacumm source.....
do you have the stock pipin, if so yes it pretty tucked in there...i had the injen on at the time so there was more acess to the wastegate.

The stock hoses are crap. Brittle as hell. My stock wastegate line cracked and started leaking, so the boost spiked to like 12psi once...fuel cut came in. I replaced the hoses with some higher quality stuff and haven't had a problem since.

yeah, I figured if they bitched about it, I'd just say they broke.... b/c they are REALLY shitty.. more plastic than rubber.

I replaced my vaccum lines when I put the MBC (gone now) in. They were brittle and super glued on from the factory. I just bought some yellow silicone vaccum hose from jegs and zipped tied them on.

Here's a pic with the hoses from wastegate to my Blitz Dual SBC Spec-R EBC module.

so this was a blitz dual sbc-id boost controller? I want to use one of those in conjunction with the blitz power meter id. How was the install on that Boost controller? Clean looking engine by the way.

Thanks azian6er!:D

It's the Blitz Dual SBC Spec-R, not the "id" series. The display module is different. Here's a pic

I'm sure the boost controller is the same setup. I just put the hoses to the solenoid module like I did when I had my MBC. Then I just connect the harness to the display module. Find a power source for the display module and your all set.

After I replaced the stock hoses, I noticed a tighter boost without as much spiking. Good idea.

And since we're showing pics..

the hose that goes to the manifold to all the stock sensors. My BOV and Wastegate already have blue hose...

3/16", I believe. I'll have to go out and measure the ID to be sure but it's raining right now.

Vegas: Thanks, you have PM.

[edit: after looking at that pic again, i'll have to outside. that doesn't sound right for some reason.]

move the boost gauge to another vaccum source. im not sure which one it is now, but one hose made my needle shaky while in vaccum and the current one does not.
