Kenwood: rewritables

Has anyone had any problems with using cdrw with over 100 songs, on the Kenwood we have? Mine keeps trying to "read" it, once it finds something, it will continually skip. Sometimes it doesn't find anything at all. I verified that everything was there on the cd, and tested it on another cd player.

Just wondering if there's a limit, or a problem with the rewriteable.

Just switch to CD-R if you are having problems. They are 0.25 cents and if you scratch them who cares right?

I haven't had any problems with CD-RW's...but I usually just use CD-R's because they're so much cheaper. I buy a 100-pack for like $20.

I'm using Princo 4-12x CDRWs with no problems.

I use CD-Rs since they are cheaper, read faster and are more compatible.

I've got a few RW's kickin around that I use in the car alot. Tow outta 4 are completely full with like 200songs. I haven't had any problems. Does your cd player play regular cd's ok, or is it having problems with them too??? Meh, maybe you just have a wierd case or something freaky is going on.

Finally, someone with the same problem. Mine skips worse the longer it is used. The cd's come out of the unit extremely hot. Production cd's work great. Please keep me informed.

I recopied to another cdrw and it works fine <shrug>, guess it was the cd. I did have the skipping occur when it was real hot too, with a production cd.

Try writing it to another brand CDRW or CDR's.

I work in the research lab for an audio manufacturer- we have had problems with a CDR(W) working fine on one unit and will have problems on a different but identical one. Its baffling (even to the Sony engineers who make the reader components).

Production CD's are more robust than CDR(W)'s and are more easily read.

Good Luck- I haven't had any problems yet. (Squeaking bushings are another story!)
