Been there...done that. Almost to 90,000 for me.
I think I'm going to be the first Protege5 to have to change it's timing belt for routine maintenance.

Yea..I used to have a 120 mile round trip to work and home everyday. Not to mention 1,000 mile roadtrips almost every weekend.

I have been putting about 1000 a month on my ride. that is average or below. I am happy with that.
the good news is that our cars will run for a bit. my dad use to drive one at a job he was working. he loved the car. had over 200,000 miles and still drove and rode like a new one he said. so I think we will be fine. other than the fact that we prob get on them alittle more than my old man and his co workers.
