Hey all, I might be in the market for a used 2003.5 MSP (I love all the colors except yellow) soon, and I was wondering how much you've seen them sell for used in excellent condition? I'd imagine with them only having been out 8 months or so most people have around 10,000 miles.

I'm trying to see if it's worth it for me to take a new one with the $2,500 rebate (and the inevitable driven-off-the-lot depreciation hit) or take one with ~10,000 miles for less. Thanks, all.

I was doing some research in the NOVA area. I don't think any of the lots carry the Mazdaspeeds anymore. Try and call Browns Mazda in Alexandria though. They have/had an entire showroom dedicated to the Mazdaspeeds (703) 660-8400. If you wanna talk to a rep, ask for Nolleen and tell her that Tony sent you :)

You're probably better off going used, there have been a few folks around here that have been looking to sell them. The resale values have not been very strong so far. My '03.5 has 2,700 miles on it, so you should be able to find them around with as few or as many miles as you'd like.

Find one that hasn't been modded if you look to go used.

I don't know how up to date MazdaUSA's inventory is, but a search for 100 miles of 22304 (Alexandria) pulled up 5 pages of Mazdaspeeds (most Blazing Yellow). There are some at Rosenthal Mazda in Arlington and several Titanium Greys at Koons Mazda.

I just got off the phone with Koons and he says they definately have a few 2003.5's left.

Is there any real differences from the 2003's and 2003.5's aside from the front lip and the spoiler?

upgraded clutch really? I was under the impression that they were mechanically identical....

There are a bunch of small differences. Different shift knob and pedals. Different color stitching on the seats, wheel and shifter boot. Some stuff under the hood too- there was a thread the other day that the airbox is slightly different.

The salesman at Koons told me the rebate has been increased to $3,500 from $2,500. Is this a strictly Mazda rebate or is the extra grand a dealer promo?

If you end up buying from Koons let me know what price they gave you because I have been price shopping around the NOVA area myself and most of the dearlerships have been dicks when it came to the price. I went to Koons (MD) and I must have looked around the lot for about an hour when I finally had to go in and find a salesman to help me out, this was back in Sep. when it was nice outside. The guy was cool about letting me test drive but he was gonna give it to me for 300 above invoice, so the qouted price was 21200. HAHAAA...I was just like uhm okay, well some friends have been getting it for cheaper than that using rebates and what not. So he did some math and told me he would call me up later to give me a better price but he never did.

I hate the people in this area, they are always so snotty, maybe thats why the redskins suck.
