Sounds like you have been busy. No credit cards here to have fun with. I'd like to check out those Dave B rings. They look real good online. How much youpay for them? I take it you are boosting you 5? If so, what kit you going with?

Me, I'm waiting to lower my car and get rims/tires first. Will tint my windows this summer, and probably do the exhaust from Torksport.

no kidding about the summer, cant wait. i actually have the mazdaspeed 2003 black mica, so it came w/ boost. been trying to test out the suspension on dry corners, man SO much better than my eclipse i traded it for. as far as the daveb's i just ordered today. i paypaled him 26.50 for one set this morning so i may take about a week to get here. but i'll definitely let you check them out.

SOrry I havent posted. Been busy with so much stuff. I no longer work at Cox. Dont get me started ont hem there but its better off that I quit.

I still got the P5, havent done anything to it and I am really wanting to. For now its just gonna be what I can do myself and what can be done spending little as possible. The way things are going, most everything I have planned is going to to be put off till this winter (DEC).

I am down for getting together, maybe like a Mazda meet and greet. Something like that. Would be nice to meet all ya'll. see what ya got done and which parts ya'll prefer.

He's not too bad, I just feel bad becasue his mother and I are going through a divorce and we each get him for a week so it's been kind of hard on him. I know he's young but there's just little things that let you know it's not easy for him either.

Just remember never to bad-mouth his mom in front of him, and hopefully she will do the same. That really breaks their little hearts.

Red I'll give yah a little smile about your son and the divorce. Yah it may be hard on him now but look towards the future. my parents got divorced when i was 3 and my brother was 6. He remembers it perfectly and it makes him horribly sad and angry any time you ask him about it. Me, yah im sad they arnt together i guess but i dont remember a thing about it at all and i still see my dad all the time. So i guess just be glad kinda that your getting it overwith when hes still young enough to where the pain wont hurt him any more in a few years.

I know in stock form they are kinda hurting on the performance part but with a few mods. they can become respectable. Well, this is going to be the weekend. Heres the list of things I am going to try to get done:

1) Repaint my brakes. Everyone come over if ya want. We can all do the brakes att he same time.

2) Going to attempt painting my headlights, sidemarkers ( if I can find the VHT paint) I would love to have someone there that has done this before. PLus I might need some tools. LOL

3) Attempt to paint the badges on the car.

4) Paint some interior pieces.

5) Detail the hell of the P5 cuase I've been lazy and havent done it in a long while.

6) If allot of people show up, we can go cruize or something like that. I nkow people show up at Stereo West and Park. it would be cool to all show up in a Caravan of P5's.

What do ya'll think?
Anyone is welcome to come over. We can BBQ or whatever, drink some Beer, or whatever. We can all finally meet, which would be cool, check all the cars out, maybe take pics, as say like a 1st Unofficial NE P5 meet, LOL. Something like that.

All I know is that I have been out the scene for too long and been putting doing things to my car off for too long. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. I can finally say that I am going to be able to start modding my car very soon. Yeah, cause Stock Sucks!

I have used paint from Walmart before and never had a problem. Also used PPG paint and it was good. I will most likely get it from an Autoparts store. I have a method that works well. I just cut corners 3 years ago when i did i the first time.

Thanks. As for the emblems, I just sanded them down with 220 grit, cleaned with rubbing alcohol, then I sprayed with teh engine paint I had first. It was kinda wierd but the finish from that ended up kinda rough. Looks stealthy. Then I just painted it with Trim Black paint then some clearcoat. They look better on the car than they did off of it. I am not sure how they will hold up but I am not to worried cause 1) they where pitted anyway and 2) eventually they all will be gone off the car when its painted.

If ya want I can help ya do them. Not sure if I can get them to turn out like mine. I think it was a fluke.

Thats ok, no prob. What time Thursday afternoon are you thinking? Sometime after 1pm? Is it possible to do friday afternoon? I don't want to take off work if possible and I knowyou work a ton of hours. I can do thursday if necessary.

I have 200 grit sandpaper and the trim paint. Do I need 400 grit paper and primer?

Well, I want to see who would be interested in actually getting a club going. It will be Mazdas only since every other car has there own. I was thinking of calling it MidWestMazdas or MWM for short.

It would be cool to (wrc) our Mazdas around in a big caravan, get some pics a vid footage, have a BBQ or something. So many things that could be done. Might also be able to work to where we can get discounts from local parts shops and such if membership is big enough.

Once things get rolling I can talk to some VInyl shops and see about getting club hookups. Then I can get them fitted for the windshields and then we can order colors for everyone.

One thing we did in the club I was in awhile back was everyone got a number. Biker clubs do this. Can get a number graphic to show your number in the club. Kinda represents how long you been a member. Does this interest anyone?

MidWest Mazdas is the sickness!!!!! The decal would have to be at least 42" long so that it covers up a heap of the windshield. Another idea along the same linez as that would be MWM stretched out across the windshield but in some type of small underlining way is midwestmazdas. Maybe this could be smaller and have it underline MWM (nana)

I think that we should all definitely get the ball rollin on this MwM club. Then we can bounce around in style and show those other posers what mazda is about. WORD>>> J/K.
