hey anyone off hand know how much side moldings that go on the door cost to purchase from the dealer? i think im going to buy them and stick them back on. where i removed them, the paint doesnt look good. i figure, i got to cover them up, rather than have a paint shop re paint all 4 doors. thanks! - chris

I was planning to strip my side moldings, L8R you have pics of what you mean by "the paint doesnt look good"? Also, how long after you bought it did you wait until you stripped the moldings?

um i waited about... long time, over a year. didnt know it was only two way tape.

well
1. my back passenger door, i had a dent which i got fixed. so he painted around the moldings, so when i removed them, you can see the overlap of paint.

2. where i removed the strips, the paint is a little hazy and flat black, instead of shiney

3. some places where i removed it, i have a white outline of the strips

4. im entering more car shows... i guess itll cost more to repaint and repair vs getting new side moldings
