Does anyone make any aftermarket brake pads for MSP's? I'd prefer semi-metallic. Anyone know?

I suggest the Hawk HPS for street driving... the HP Plus will eat your rotor, so I'd stay away from them for daily driving.

I've heard nothing but good things about the HPS from weekend autoX'ers.

Anyone tried the ceramic pads? My roomate has ceramics on his WRX and they bite hard and warmup quick.

yeah, I've heard ceramic are the best you can get9or close to it). They are very reliable, and do an excellent job with braking. My friend put some on his fairmont, which is a bitch to slow down cause it's super heavy, the ceramics helped shorten the breaking distance(alittle, not much), but the brakes have lasted longer than any other set of pads he's had before.

Just ordered a set of the Ceramics, using KVR Slotted rotors.. just looking for a good OEM replacement solution before selling it.

Be careful buying pads that last a long time. That means that they're chewing your rotors up faster than they are being chewed up. If you gain one thing, you'll lose another. I could put gum erasers on my car and the rotors would last forever, or I could put solid metal plates on my car and the pads would last forever. Keep an eye on your rotors if you put on pads that wear a long time. I guarantee they'll wear out faster than usual.
