ok well i have a 03.5 stock msp and the other day when i was going into dunkin donuts my car kinda went over a slight bump (just the entrance, but it's not completely smooth)... it really wasn't a HUGE scrape.. but it sounded like the piping hit the road.. so i was like well, that sucks but whatever.. then on the way home, just going down the hill (which isn't bumpy at all) i hear a really loud SCRAAAAAAAAAPE.. and i was like wtf... so i'm thinking it's the shocks maybe since i looked under the car and everything looked fine and in place.. i've only had the car for 3 months and i'm not hard on it at all... but is there anything anyone thinks it might be? i'm guessing the shock but please respond if you have any idea, or if you think the dealership will give me a problem with it...?

Front bushings. When it's cold outside (and your from CT) these bushings make a scrape/squeaking noise. You should be fine.

Have the front bushing update done. I had my dealer do it and no more noise. It is covered under warranty.

you can have your front bushings changed for no charge and no hassle from the dealer at all? what do u ask for? do u just walk into the dealer and say "change my front bushings"?

I told my dealer that the front end was creaking after only 3000 miles. They told me of the bushing upgrade. It is for the front sway bar. It is still quiet 4700 miles later and really cold. All covered under warranty. It goes along with the clunk fix for the rear.
