93 sohc to dohc

how hard is it to swap a dohc into a sohc car. i know you need the engine , pcm ,and dist. i think you can use th sohc tranny but you would have to use sohc flywheel and clutch. let know planning on doing this project soon. need alittle help.

go to www.clubprotege.com and do a search on the engine swap, a LOT of people have done it, including the admin of that site. It is fairly straight forward. You can use the F series tranny, but it sux balls, so i would suggest switching over to the G series tranny :) You also need the wires for the VICS system, and the ECU etc. www.clubprotege.com has all of the resources you need though

if u use the g series tranny u will need to get the different tranny mounts and front motor mount bracket and u need to run a single wire from the fuel injection harness to the ecm in slot2-12 and have a new slave cylinder
