Hey guys, I've decided I'm going to get some hardpipes for my car, and if I can't wait for the Cork Sport pipes to come out (they keep the stock BPV in place and add an additional BOV), I'd like to know which setups people have sucessfully used to eliminate the turkey straight out of the box.

I've done several searches, but people rarely state which hardpipes they're using.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Discreet and I are running the iON hardpipes with 2 valves. The corksport kit is the only one at this point that will kill it right out of the box. All others will take some customizing by you.

505 - Do you have a pic of your hardpipe setup? Specifically the location of the stock BPV. I read the turkey hunt thread quite thoroughly, as well as your follow-up how-to, and was very happy to see somebody finally killed the bastard! :)

I'm not opposed to doing the work myself, but would have liked a one-shot deal. I'm still waiting on a response from Cork Sport for specifics on their (copy of your) setup ;), and will post their e-mail on the board when I get it. Thanks for the speedy reply!

Albuquerque, eh? You go to the balloon rally every year? I've got an aunt who crews for one of them down there. I haven't been there to check it out, but I've heard it's a blast!

Yeah, it's pretty cool. Too much traffic for me to go every year, so many people come from out of state for that event. The special shape show is always sweet, they get all of the unique ballons together for it.

Hey 505 where does that stock bpv run to? I see it comes out of the intake, but where does it recirculate to? I cant quite see.

you have found a very old post msp2.0

the recirc is going out of the cold pipe(ic ->tb) and into the intake)
the reason theres no turkey is due tot the hks bov you see in the pics.
so he is basically blowing off and recirculating which isnt really necessary, due to the relocation of his maf.

the only real way to kill turkey from what i have read is to either move the maf and blow off or run a dual setup and tune it well.

search around for relocate maf or dual setup and you will find many threads

Holy crap no kidding, that was the very first BOV/BPV setup. That original setup was so crappy looking back at it now, haha.

It went from that prototype setup, to this:

Then I changed it up a little bit with the new FMIC kit:

I eventually ditched the BOV and have been running the BoostSciences BPV by itself since. No gobbling at all, works and sounds great. The key is the 1" fittings for it on the IC pipe and intake.

I haven't ever run a relocated MAF. Always been on the intake on mine.

I knew that would work, I just never bothered trying it out. The recirc pipes from the factory and on after market intakes were way too small.

Yup 5/8" does not cut it.
