'91 Miata replacement seats

Asking this for a guy I work with who just bought a '91 Miata that needs replacment seats...

Anyone know where he can get either OEM seats or some that are similar?

Does he need new ones or will used suffice? If he can use used ones, check Ebay or www.mazdarecycling.com . The latter has tons of used Miata parts, just give them a call. Used (black) seats can also be re-dyed to look new.

If he wants to go for racing buckets he can use Sparco Speed or Sprint, or Corbeau Forsas. It is very difficult to fit an aftermarket seat in the confined space of a Miata. The base is fairly narrow, but the shoulder bolsters are what make contact with the seatbelt towers and make fitment the toughest.
