yesterday i drove about 45 minutes away to buy fireworks...stop n go traffic then a long trip over a bridge...when i got to a stopping point the car started bucking. then it killed totally. then i pulled into a gas station. i tried to start it...it started but it wouldnt remain at idle. after letting it cool for like 3 hours i tried again. it wouldnt stay at idle so i just tried to push it...it bucked a little then thats it. i said f it and called a tow truck.
what is the problem?
i have a spool fmic, spool 2.5 inch catback exhaust, greddy profec b spec 2 boost controller (9 psi 99% of the time), greddy turbo timer, greddy type s BOV, and guages.
im thinking its either a vacuum leak somehwere or a fuel pump.
any hints clues suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Just a friendly suggestion...remove your mod list from your signature (especially the EBC)...Mazda is known to browse these forums and may void your warranty...screwing any chance of getting whatever is wrong repaired for free.

sounds to me like either a lose IC Connection, or an electrical issue.

How do they know its you? unless you post an actual pic of your car they compare with? I mean do they trace your ip to your location then match it to a VIN database? wow...lol

i just took it off...o well...so it could be fuel pump, injectors, ic pipe leaking or vacuum problems?
p.s. the problem only happened when car was hot...

It's actually quite easy for Mazda to figure out who he is.
He explained his problem exactly, as well as his mods. His location (New Orleans) is listed in his profile.
If a black mica MSP comes in for warranty work for that problem around New Orleans.....it wouldn't be hard for Mazda to make the connection.
Stuff like this has happened to a few forum members...that's why you see some people with 'disclaimers' in the sigs.

If you haven't already, check you I/C piping connections, I've blew a hose off on my old car and it did the exact same thing.

You can not make a conclusion based on this. You can't make that connection with out some better proof. It doesn't HAVE to be his car. It's possible it's someone else.

while i know what ur sayin.....i think the fact of the matter is, if they have this car sitting here with a problem that will be costly to repair, doesnt seem to have been the result of a stock setup, and the weird coincidence that someone in the same area complained of the same problem on the same car at the same time, and when that person said "im taking it into the mazda dealer" is when this one showed up............
they can look that engine bay over till they are blue in the face and in all liklihood will be able to find something that isnt exactly like it was from the factory, and use that as a sign that the engine was, at least at some point in time, modified.

Yeah but he could just be saying he has those parts to try and gain acceptance.
Hell when I said I ran my engine at 30 PSI I was just trying to be 'cool'. In fact my car is 100% stock.

I hear ya slug, seems to me they need more evidence than that to say no go on the warrenty. You could look them staright in the face and just say that's not me.

Turbo Matty I believe got screwed because of his posts about racing, so it is proven that Mazda searches this board and most likely others.
