i ordered them
there were 4 in the package, 2 for where the cats hang, and 2 for the muffler.

they came in 2 sizes. 12mm and 10mm.
what size goes where?

thanks :D

Take on off your car and hold it up to the new ones. Process of elimination will tell you which one to use where. Do each one at a time and you'll be done in 10 minutes.

What are the advantages of using these hangers? I understand that they reduce exhaust movement, but what does that actually do? Does it quiet the exhaust down? Is this only benificial for an aftermarket exhaust (heavier)?

it looks dumb when your exhaust bounces around, and even the stock exhaust does that. a heavier aftermarket one will do it even more, and these will also make it fit closer and reduce the chance of scraping

You do have to be careful about them pulling the exhaust up too close to the bumper. I've read a few posts on here about how the tip got too hot and close tothe bumper and melted the underside of it in the cutout.

actually, most aftermarket exhausts are lighter than stock ones...

I wasn't saying all aftermarket exhausts are heavier than stock (duh...), but some are, IE: Greddy. This is where the brackets are especially important.

well, for example downpipes are much lighter than stock pipe with 2 cats.
less heavier pipe means less pull down and more side-to-side play.

also since there's more play, the stock rubber hangers begin to squeak........it's annoying as hell.
i even tried lubricating them, but to no avail.

this happened to me..i had to install a clamp once i installed the hangers to keep it from sliding to the right side of the car after it melted a portion of my bumper.

the larger holes are for the hangars toward the rear iirc

well, just installed them.
must say tha the position hasnt changed at all.
the way it's made is one hanger pulls the muffler up while the other one pushes it down. these are much stiffer hangers than stock.

very solid.

oh, :D and no rattle!

hey sound re-check after about an hour of driving. mine was fine and then i drove about 50 miles away and back, and when i got back there was melted stuff on my exhaust cause it had moved from the vibrations in the road or seomthing...otherwise, good for you if youre lucky for that not to happen :D

i know exactly what u are saying.......it has that slack on the hanger closest to the bumper to slide to the right.

and i know that it would cause a problem on the 03 MSP or a P5 cause the cutout of the skirt and the exhaust tip are round.

on a 03.5 the cutout is a much wider ark, so even if the tip slides all the way to the right, it still has about 1.5 centimeters till it touches the skirt.

but we'll see, only time will tell
