Thanks Javo, I was hoping to get the exact figures as displayed at the driver side door jamb...like front/rear. Anyone else?

Not a bad weight for a sedan with power windows and locks, I'd say.

Toyota somehow seems to keep the weight down on there cars. The Carolla is around 2600 lbs and the Matrix comes in around 2800 lbs for a hatchback. Our cars are not that bad, but seem to be a little heavy.

it would at least take a chunk of the 200 away...iron is heavy!! either way u gotta also think about all the turbo related equipment....good 50 lbs there...in all the msp is light...not honda civic light....but light
:)

The civic's kinda porky these days, heavier than the MSP!

I own a 95 civic hatch, and I love how light (2200lbs) and responsive it is, but the new civic si just blows, no fun at all.

Has anyone actually weighed their MSP? I'd like to know to get an accurate weight for my G-Tech. I don't have access to an auto scale.

I believe 3610 is wet. 3350 dry?
This car seems too light for that though... Although, the power windows, locks, stereo, speakers, big seats, 17 inch wheels, turbo goodies, big engine, glass, big battery and other fancy doo-dads severly increase the weight.

The 3600 is the gross weight the car can carry with all capacities full and i think 4 people in it. The curb weight i believe is 2843 pounds.

Weight of One Gallon (U.S.) of Water, Gasoline, and Ethanol
1 gallon of water equals 8.33 lbs.
1 gallon of gasoline equals 5.8 to 6.5 lbs.
1 gallon of ethanol equals 6.59 lbs.

since the msp holds about 14.5 gallons of gasoline, do the math :)

not to mention, the sub and amp and the size of the wheels add up too...

Curb weight, including full tank of gas and oil, is 2807 from the data sheet. Mine weighed in at 2800 on the local scales, which change in 25 lb increments. With a quarter tank of gas, mine weighed 2750 on the same scales. Since gas is 6 lbs/gallon, 10 gallons less is 60 lbs less. Thus the 2750 reading on the scale.

Remember to add your own weight back in for the G tech number. Have fun and let us know what acceleration figures the G tech gives.

My car, with me (150 lbs) and about 50 pounds of junk, weighed 3005 lbs on the scale at the track.

Ha I think I went right behind you that night as soon as you went. I weighed in at 2950 with 130 lbs (me) and I'm not sure how much my subs and box weigh probably about 30 to 40lbs. maybe more i dunno and had less than a quarter of gas left in the tank.

Yeah...I still can't believe how horrible all the MSP's did that night...lol

BTW...the 3005 lb weight was with a little less than a 1/4 tank of gas.

OK. I'm going to fill the tank tomorrow and set the weight at 2,800, plus my chubby ass, which weighs 195. Total weight= 2,995 pounds.

I'll plug the data into the G-Tech in a second. Neat X-mas present.

0-60 time and horsepower number to come tomorrow. There's nowhere around here I could run a full 1/4 mile time.
