Let's see 2003 w/ 2003.5 rear deck enclosure. Rear deck rattles over bumps or with sound tured up.
Wierd "ghost" engine drying symptoms when coming out of second gear and stopping, (usually wile going up hill). The check engine and oil pressure lights flash a tenth of a second, but only after put in neutral after coming out of second gear and stopping.
It is wierd indeed, no clue exactly whats going on.... and yes, I have a flashed ECU.
Other than that,.... AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The engine drys?.........if you mean dying I would look for intake/ boost leaks around the bpv.

-Or you could be smart and have a tech. ride with you so your problem could be documented and fixed properly.

It doesn't die completely, just almost does. It's about a tenth of a second die, you could say. Only when coming off power in second gear and shifting to nuetral while braking. And it's nopt very often either.

I'm not to worried about it,.... if I take the car out of gear a little earlier it doesn't happen,....

maybe it's the turbo idling? wtf I dont know...just a guess

BTW,how many miles are on your car?
Mine did some of the same things for the first couple of thousand miles.Sometimes when coming to a stop it would almost die out or would but I couldn't get the dealer to duplicate it and it finally just quit.

mine did this too and they replaced the whole enclosure and not a single rattle ever since. My service manager said Kenwood was aware of the problem and sent a replacement.

I got a rattle from mine too but i thought it was the rear deck plastic?

Let's see,.... just hit 10G.
What's funny is that the deck did not rattle when I had the 2003 enclosure, only after I got it changed. So, I was like WTF?
I'm not worried about either problem, though, I like the car too much. Oh yeah, and I'm in a town that didn't get the Mazdaspeed program so I have the only one around here,.... and I have to go 90 miles to do anything with a dealer,.... forget it.
