Factory mazdaspeed exhaust upgrade?

Ok in my dealerships service/parts area they have all the things that make the car a mazdaspeed set out so u could buy it for a baseline model protege.struts/springs/wing/lip spoiler/strut brace...and so on..but they have a axle back exhaust there...its all polished stainless i think and its got a can muffler with a 2.5 round tip..is this a stock part from a older MSP like a 03..mines a 3.5 and it has that big muffler with the oval kinda lookin tip that says mazdaspeed...i was thinking of getting a apex catless downpipe and throwing on this mazdaspeed axle back exhaust on so they think that the only mod i did was a "factory" mod........just wondered if this is a upgrade for the mazdaspeed or did it come stock on other ones or what?????????and how does it sound?

I believe the only difference is the tip because they had a different lower back bumper lip on 03.5....kind of pointell to do this....

the can is totally different then the stock one! much smaller!its not just the tip.

be careful before laying out the cash on the exhaust. I think I remember reading somewhere that the cat back is 3 or 4" either longer or shorter (don't remember which) than the P5 or the regular sedan. Just do the measurements before you take it home with you...
