i received the feb 2004 issue of import tuner today...looking through they finally got a few pages on the tokyo auto show. i came to the mazda section and saw the mazda ibuki. then i read the lil' paragraph that some retard at Import Tuner wrote. this ignorant ass clown decided to call out all the gay people in the world to check it out, while calling the current miata extremely gay. well fuck you Import Tuner. the miata is not the gay person's ride of choice. whoever wrote this should be the gay person's ride of choice. i'm gonna write an e-mail to them 'cause they openly call a car gay that many import enthusiasts that are NOT gay drive. fucking idiots. i think i'll post this on the miata forum, too.

Import Tuner is very biased, I dont read the magazine either. Alot of 'rice' in those pages and comments made by amatures that are giving their organization a black eye from those of us old enough to give a crap about our cars. I really think they believe they are getting through to the younger crowds, but at the same time, they're pissing the rest of us off that dont just slap whatever the hell we want to on our cars. An opinion is just still that.. HIS opinion, but unfortunetly for him, it was made in bad taste and will probably get the magazine MANY pissed off 'fan' mail letters.

I knew I wasnt keen on the quality of that magazine before, just gives me more reassurance as to why.

Ya I just read that today too. My aunt had to go into emergency surgery today so I was stuck in the waiting room for 4+ hours. So what kind of smart idea pops into my head? I drove 2secs away to food lion and just had to buy import tuner and sport compact car. Prob the worst $10 I've ever spent. Now I know why I always renew C&D, and for the two piece of shit mags I got today I could have bought another year, maybe two on ebay. I heel-toe all the time...in every Manual-Tranny car I drive. I just can't stop. I take the 'country' roads even if it takes an extra hour to get there...I used to chase down other mazdas, but 3 "No-Contact" orders later, I found it easier to just wave :D

heh, I thought so too, but you have to remember that many luxury cars back in the 20s and 30s employed the use of flower vases in the passenger compartments. A nice touch of history, though it still doesn't fit well in the VW genre of car. :D

Oh, and some other 10AE facts:
• They were a limited production car, 7500 in the WORLD

• They all came with at least the Sport Suspension, if not the Hard Suspension(firm Bilsteins and stiffer rated springs--mine is the Hard :D)

• They came with a strut tower brace (as do many now)

• They were the first miata to have the 6-speed tranny, in '99 it was ONLY available on the 10AE

• Carbon Fiber dash surround (around radio down to the shifter) is stock

• They came with 15" Polished aluminum wheels (top'o'the line rims for '99)

• The interior is a blue/black scheme, still the only Special Edition to sport these colors:
-Seats are black leather trimmed with blue suede inserts
-Blue carpet and floor mats
-Blue shift boot, e-brake boot
-Blue soft top
-Blue/black Nadari steering wheel and shift knob
-Blue boot cover

• The 10AE is the only miata model to have that color blue paint. Some have argued the name of the color, the original (1st) owner told me it is Sapphire Blue Mica, but one dealer told me it was Innocent Blue by the paint code. (dunno)

• The 10AE is the ONLY Special Edition miata to have only ONE badge. All others have a badge on each side on the front quarter panel. The 10AE's is on the driver's side only.
