I just got home from driving my g/f home and when i was driving my car it kinda seemed like a lack of power from the alternator, but i think it is a little worse. The lights dim really quick and the bad part is that the car acts like the fuel was cut off for a millasecond. Is there a problem with the way mazda modded the computer in the mp3's. how can i find out what the problem is. Is there something wrong with my alternator. i think it is worse b/c i dont think and alt would cut power from the engine.
also it did this like 10 times, about every 2 minutes....
thank you for any help...

No, Just playing.
Sounds like a foul plug or somthing in the fuel line.
Are you running nitrous.
If so you may have leaned out and melted a plug. Run colder plugs and you will not have that problem with nitrous. Anyways the loss of power seams to be a fuel or spark to a cylinder. Start it up and listen to each piston with a long screwdriver/or pull off a spark plug on each cylinder and see if they are messed up or if it sounds the same. It very well could be a computer problem or altenator.

ok there is also one more thing, someone go out and drive their car in 1st or 2nd gear and keep the revs steady at about 3500-4000 rpm. my car has this weird sound likea clanking noise. is that normal or is there another problem.

Have you done any mods to your car? Have you installed any aftermarket stereo equipment? Sounds like your problem could just be a blown fuse. If the fuse to the altenator is blown, while you driving the battery won't get recharged by the alternator. I had a similar problem in my Civic. Best thhing you can do is just take the car to the Dealership and have them do a Diagnstic check. Goodluck.

to answer the noise around 3500-4000rpm question, take it in...I had something similar, and it would rattle all the time, it turned out being a MISSING BOLT somewhere up in the front of the exhaust...obviously no cost to fix by the dealer, but pretty lame. The other thing, I have no idea.
Hope it works out.
