if you dont have a turbo, would three inch be bad, i was told 2.5'' is the max you would want to go on a n/a protege with our #'s.

ooh my fellow member this could turn into a long conversation on that subject, id suggest you post a ? like this in the performance section.......many people have their own theory about that but in the end it all depends what you have done to your vehicle.

2.5 is all you need on a stock n/a motor, by stock i mean, stock rods/pistons, crank, cams, etc.
3in is massive overkill, and you'd lose some low end tq, but might gain a little bit of how end HP. Over all its not worth it.
For turbo, 3in is overkill on a car like ours, but you dont lose anything, but the gains are minimal over a 2.5

If you read the entire ebay post it says:
Applications:
Mazda Speed Protege Turbo 03+
Part #10147010
Wouldn't that mean that it is specifically for the MSP not a base Protege?
It's about time. Greddy has been promising a cat-back exhaust for our cars for a few months now.

its on ebay.
can you really trust what it says its for?
I couldnt find that part number on their website.
The only thing i would suggest is to call GReddy and verify before anyone buys it.

Has anyone esle noticed that in Greddy's ad in Super Street that they are really pushing that their system is quiter than the others when tested on a WRX in Turbo Magazine? The same add also shows that although they are quiter they produce less HP than the Blitz, Apexi, and HKS. Hmmmm... Not really any sound ordinance for exhaust or emission laws where I live, I think I will go for an exhust that makes more HP.(yellomp3)
