I do Xbox Mods. Maybe I could sell you a premoded one. My friend is selling his for 80 bucks let me see if he still has it.

modded means it has a chipset update meaning it can play 'copied' games. if you have a DVD Reader and Writer on your PC and software (Neo?) that will copy or burn DVD's then you can create games from downloaded games from places like KaZaa, WinMX, BearShare, eDonkey2000, LimeWire etc...
but legally you can only play copies of games you own. Backups per say.
It voids your Xbox warranty so if you are still within the warranty period I would wait.

Micro$oft deals with Mod's (http://zdnet.com.com/2100-1103-939663.html )

Yeah I saw a web site a while back. Guys were selling x-box's or you could send yours in to get modded. They put in a chameleon chip, 120 GB Hard drive, and Emulators for all previous game systems. IE. nintendo, Sega, Neo Geo, all the way up to N64 I guess. And they also include 5000 games for those systems or something like that. When you initially started your x-box, the chameleon chip would run a start up screen first. Allowing you to pick an emulator, or use the DVD playback without the Remote and Dongle, or copy a disc to the hard drive. That way you could go out and rent a game, copy to your HD and have it forever. Or you select the normal X-box mode to play regular games, or also burnt games. Seems really cool to have but to buy a new system off the it was $500 + 25 shipping. But it would be cool to have.

If you get a modchip, don't go to easybuy2000.com. If you read some other xbox forums, you will see many horror stories. It took me 5 weeks to recieve my chameleon modchip. Customer service was pretty crappy too.

Hey guys, I live in Canada, and all I am willing to pay is approx $100 us dollars, plus shipping. If there is games involved I will pay more. The one game I am looking for is Top Spin.

sorry to hear about your experience...I have 8 other friends that ordered from them and we have no problems whatsoever...the new chameleon solderless chip is suppose to be very easy to set up...

Well I was thinking of trading it in on a Mazda 6 wagon, but I would have to wait a while for that one up here in canada.
