Ok..we need info on this car!
My first question.
What are those 2 little canisters with the fuel lines going to them where the A/C used to be?

2 fuel pumps and the fuel tank.
The fuel rail is feeded from both ends. 880cc injectors

well, he using stock tranny with a simple custom fit phantom grip.
Its holding, but...the car has only a few miles, couple of runs on the track.

so with my built FS, 2 fuel pumps, 880ccs modified Fuel rail, and my haltech i can achieve this? WTF
the phantom grip is just the lsd correct? Not anything special with the tranny other than that?

Congratulations to your friend. That is a sturdy looking engine. Is the fuel rail a custom build? It looks "homemade." Good looking welds, but seems to be a function over appearance part.
Great run!!!!!!

Oh there's nothing wrong. Just gotta wire up my stand alone but don't have the info on the wiring for the TPS and the Crank position sensor. That's all I need to finish up. My harnesses for the injectors should be here soon and I should be ready to rock! Couple more weeks or so........

yeah, stock...
but they hava broken 1 axle already, they have a few more around...stock axles.
the clutch is a 4puck solid, extreme pressure plate, protege 1.8L stock flywheel, protege5 stock transmission with phantom grip, stock head and cams and sprockets, stock intake mani.
Everything but the JE High Comp pistons, pauter rods, total seal piston rings.
People here in PR likes to do this, take the stock cars up to the extreme or swap engines and do a ridiculously fast econo car.

I would say it weighs around 2000 pounds, If its fully gutted with a rollcage.

the 323 is a bit heavier than 2000 lbs stock it is about 2200 to 2300 .. The car originally comes with a 1.6 l sohc, so he did a swap and most likely changed the suspension set up to handle the extra weight of the engine.
Damn sweet run, that sucer was blaring down the track. What size turbo is he running. It is like a T60 or something up there. I know it must be at or bigger than a t3/4 ...
ok gotta go..

323's are lighter than a P5 for sure, and if it has AWD, it will launch a hell of a lot better.

The President of our club is supposed to be getting the GTR engine with the new AWD tranny for his 323. If they can do THAT with FWD, I can't imagine what AWD would do.
