Because it's priceless to see an unsuspecting person's face when they get smoked by a 9000lb rig. Not to mention, you can't haul much of anything in a car. Who wants to put a load of gravel or topsoil in the back of a sedan?

no I can understand that part, hell, I could use a powerful truck some days, but I meant like, it's big and heavy and not all that aerodynamic, besides "just because" I don't see a reason why it needs to run 11's

shit ar ep5s are heavy enough as it is 3664 with a 4 banger...

if you are trying to say a protege 5 weighs 3664 pounds, you are almost a thousand pounds too much there buddy...and the white car looks like a N/A rx7, it proly didnt look like it launched fast because of the truck

a p5 with a full tank of gas and a ~180lbs passenger should weigh in at ~3000 lbs.

mp5jeff

curb weight is 2700 or close meaning WITH a full tank of gas..now if you mean driver PLUS another passenger then yes, you will come up with a weight of 3k depending on the weight of driver/passenger

minivan ran 12's on a 2.2L chrysler turbo motor. The car next to him was a Z28. Beware the shadows, starions, colts, dynastys, lebarons, etc...

P5 curb weight is 2716
MSP curb weight is 2843 (don't ask me why)

the wagon is shorter than the sedan. also lacks the uber-heavy sound system, turbo componants, wing, etc

I liked the supra run against the reliant. That was friggin hilarious.

As for the going back and forth at the line-that's the sign of a person who has never raced before. They drive right through the staging lights.

I love trucks that can haul ass, and haul people when needed. That truck made some of the most beutiful sounds I have heard today.

My best friends dad has a 76 ford crew cab, and over the years(like 15 or so) has put around 40,000 into the damn thing. It totally hauls ass like no other. The funny thing about it, it looks like crap because its like 3 different colors.

We actually raced a porche out in eastern oregon(not a top of the line, but a damn nice one) and kicked his ass , up until about 120 mph, than we topped out and he just kep on going...FUCKER!

Here's the more detailed specs for people who are interested:

1995 F350 XLT 4X4 CC LB SRW Built E4OD by BTS with Baumannator controler. 12 valve Cummins with ported head, Piers race pump & Camshaft, 370 injectors, twin turbos@ 95psi boost 800 rwhp on #2 only 4.10's, Detroit locker, 36" PJ dirtgrip tires.

This truck is not running any drugs/propane.....just straight #2 Diesel Fuel. Notice they also replaced the Ford Powerstroke engine with a Cummins.
