arospeed axle-back [Archive]

I was wondering if anyone has experience with arospeed products. They have a few items available at speedandstyle.com, one of which appears to be an axle-back exhaust system which is availble for 00-03 Protege5. For about $150, this appears to be a good deal, but I was wondering if anyone knows if the hangers fit correctly so as to prevent rubbing or burning the bumper. I've been thinking of getting the ractive or mazdaspeed but have heard the MS drones and the ractive sits right if you leave off a hanger. I can't spend more than $200 total(shipping, installation, etc) so I know my options are limited but would appriciate any advice.

Arospeed is pretty notorious for lacking in the R&D department... I know a few people with their mufflers and they like them, but I think they are a tad on the loud side personally.

I guess it boils down to the age old wisdom of: "You get what you pay for.... unless it's factory, then you pay more."

I made a custom exh with a arospeed muffler and no resonator, sounded good (02 P5). Then I took off the 2nd cat and BRAAAAHHHHHHH too loud and raspy for me. Save up your lunch $$ and get a greddy evo, now that sounds great.

Although i wouldn't buy anything from arospeed, I'm pretty sure the familia was around in Japan a couple years before it was introduced as the Protege5 in NorthAmerica and elsewhere.

they suck, i had one on my rx7 it lasted a week , save your money and do it right the first time.

Arospeed is only good for asethetic mods but I have'nt heard to much good things from them regarding performance they are just another APC make universal shit w/o paying attention to quality. Save your money and get an HKS exhaust w/ a wagner mid-pipe or any other reputable company such as- ractive,greddy or skunk2.

Yeah I agree the wheels are awsome I plan on getting the new Xpress wheels once I have enough $$$
