Well guys and girls. I thought for a long time that I would have my Pro5 until it blew up, but things change. Sometimes you realize that you are going in the wrong direction. I'm putting the Shadow back to stock trim and waving goodbye. This is not immediate and will probably not happen until after the first of the year, but the gears have been set in motion and it is now only a matter of time. I'm just paying too much for a car that I hardly ever drive. The 5 minute hike to work just doesn't justify the car payment. I'm taking a big loss, but in the end I'll still come out better. I'm not selling out on Mazda though. I'm hunting that perfect 2nd Gen RX-7 to call my own. Be on the lookout for stuff that I'll be selling off as I put the car back to stock.

YOur selling a P5 to get rid of a payment and then your getting an RX-7?

THis makes no sense?

You should see the payment I have on my Pro5...I'm paying $375 a month for a 2002 with 86,000 miles on it. You can pick up a used RX-7 for $2000 easy. It won't be my only car...I still have the trusty '88 323 wagon. I'm refinancing everything and I'll save some money getting out from under the Pro5 while I still can.

well keep us informed when the sales hit, i definately am interested.

Sorry to hear about the pro, but the rx7 will be uber sweet once you start getting it hooked up.

GL on your search for your next car.

NOw I am more confused.

You said you don't need the car becuase its only a 5 minute drive to work, yet you have racked up 80,000 miles in 2 years.

Used to live an hour from work...just recently got a new job down the street. Plus I've had the car since July of 2001

I think you should keep the Pro5.
Hell I love mine, even though its stock.

No matter how you slice it you owe the same amount of money rather the car is in your possesion or not.

If anything, demod her, get it back to stock and keep it around for a while longer (thumb)

After having it modded and personalized I'm not sure I could take just having a stock one anymore. I also have a short attention span when it comes to vehicles. This is my 5th car that I've owned and I'm only 25. I've also been through 6 different motorcycles (none wrecked...just kept trading around)

Wow, that could turn into a dangeriously expensive habit. Also, I can't believe first ghost and know you.

I think we are both victims of a self-inflicted financial castration. We need to recoup losses, but we still have an itch for Mazda and speed.
