I could have sworn i posted this here yesterday but can not find it with a search so here goes (again?)
does anyone have tips on how to remove the factory turbo to IC pipe. I can get the end off of the turbo just fine, but am unable to get the end off of the IC side. It will spin around but is unable to slide off. I need it intact as my reason for removal is to wrap it in exhaust wrap to reduce the swelling. I would go with hard pipes but:
1) I am broke
2) they will screw me on the auto-x class I want to be in next season.
I appreciate any assistance that can be offered and sorry for the long post.

yeah it was a funny deal for me too, but just tug on it a bit.

i've tugged lots and skinned my knuckles too. If I cant get it off I think I'll just take the whole top bracket to the IC off with it.:D

You need to put some real force into it. There is rubber that surrounds the Intercooler portion to prevent it from coming out. In addition the turbo part is extremely snug. The best way to do it is to get a hairdryer and heat the stock pipe. Then try to tug at at. Eventually you'll get it. Good Luck :)

maybe leave it for a while and comeback and try again. I hate when i cant figure shit out then i get angry and i am making things seem worse by thinking i am doing it right but being too angry to realize i am doing something wrong.

Lol, sorry man, I just tugged REALLLLLLY hard. It helps being 6'4" and 230 lbs. Just move it back and forth, then in a circular motion and try pulling. It should come right off.

USE A HAIRDRYER! I'm serious though I used one and it made the pipe expand enough to use my heman strength and pry it off of its bondage...hehe
