OK, I've see posts on this before but i'll ask again. To put a sender on the block where the origional sender is, I know you need a thread adapter. (this is for an autometer sender by the way). Auto meter has 4 different adapters, Which thread size is it?
Some one else told me not to even bother with the stock sender and just "T" off the turbo feed line. Is that a good idea? What sizes is that line and what parts shuld I use for that? (a "T" no doubt)
Here is a tip for painting pillar pods!
Go to you local auto paint supplier. The one near me matched a 1/2 pint of trim paint $18. (they took the mazda color right out of their paint book. Get a spray can of vynal primer $4 , and a propellent can $10 (glass gar with an arosole propellent on top...This works just like a spray can).
Clean your pod with mild soap and water. Don't forget to dry! Spray the pod with a few light coats of the primer let sit at least 5 minutes between coats. let dry for 30 minutes. Apply your Trim paint in light even coats with at least 15 minutes between coats. (This is automotive paint an requires no thinning to use in the propellent can but takes longer to dry then regular spray paint.) Be sure it is at least 50 degrees where you paint your pod or it will never dry or spray right. Let dry for another 30 minuted before you install it.
I used Dupont paint and the pod looks great. You cant even tell a color difference!
