Most common thing I've heard to do for this problem is intake manifold gasket

Trust me...ive done EVERYTHING to fix this prob even with the help of my local mazda dealer...ive done a PCV breather all the way to a new ECU...nothing.
After some research (specifically from davewoodmazda.com), they have said its likely the intake manifold gasket...they have fixed numerous 2gens and that has been the prob. The gasket is like $15CDN...the labour, well, thats up to you!
