I have a HKS TT set to TM 1.00 (manual timer of 1 minute). Half the times, it does not work. When It remove the key from the ignition, the car stalls and dies, why? What's going on? I hate headaches!!!

Check the e-brake wire.

I think I found the problem. You have to quickly remove the key from the ignition and press on the gas pedal to keep the rpm's around 1500. I don't know why this is, but that works. I think when the key goes from "engine on" to "engine off" it has to go through the "accesories" position. The TT does not seem to engage in "accesories" for some reason. Maybe it's the wiring.

im not saying that to be an ass...

im saying it because i dont have to rev my engine to activate the turbo timer. your wiring must be fucked up, and i dont see how reving up to 1500 will force the engine to stay running .

My TT is fixed now. The wiring was wrong because someone on this board had the wires mixed up on his instructions

I don't have the HKS instructions right now with me at work. Just compare them with this http://mazdamp3.com/vbb230/showthread.php?s=&threadid=34787

You'll see the difference. Sorry, but I can't elaboarte more right now.

The problem was the accesories wire. I had the wrong accesories wire hooked up.

In the instructions that someone had here you were supposed to connect blue wire to blue and green to black and something, but actually it is the other way around......blue wire on the TT goes to black and something on the ignition and green wire on the TT goes to the blue on the ignition, if that made any sence. I was fucking with mine for a few hours b4 Dr.Sound (Vic) came over and we figured it out together. I have hks type-1.

I have a blitz FATT but the wire colors are the same. I'll try switching the green and blue wire positions.

I just went out on my lunch break and switch the grrenwire to blue and the blue wire to black and white and IT WORKS!!! no more drop in the RPM.

thanks for the info.

funny thing was after I pulled the cover off and was playing the wiring the NEW security guard drove by and told me to step away from the IT guys car and to lay face down until the ploice arrived. I turned and got out of the car, he read my shirt which says:

Richard Taylor
Network Technician.

I said I am the IT guy. he appologized profusly. I'm so sorry sir..I hate being called sir.

sorry to have rambled, I'm just excited that the damn thing works right now.

I can't believe that you guys put up with the TT working like that for so long. I had mine for less than 1 hr and already hated it and I knew something had to be wrong and fix it. I am glad I could help.

thanks for finally figuring it out. I just changed my wires and it works great now. I was going to sell it because i was so upset with it but now it works great. I just drive around with it set on 30 seconds or a minute and leave it on the voltage meter. I really like the screen also how it matches my gauges. I'm discouraged because I've been driving around for so long and I couldn't figure out what was the problem.

Would this be the same for the Blitz DTT IV? I used a voltmeter and it just doesn't make anr sense to connect the blue wire to the ground cable off the ignition harness.. I just don't want to fry the brain of it by giving it a direct connection to ground.

i might be too late answering this one...
i'm about 90% sure there's no ground wire in the ignition harness (someone correct me if i'm wrong...)
so your instinct served you well, even if for the wrong reason: whatever wire you're looking at probably isn't a ground. i know before i looked at the guide i thought black was a ground, but it definitely, definitely is not.
