Anyone else race an MP3 and PR5?

hey hot mazdaspeedgirl.....did u hear how he was shifting??i bet he either didn't drop it right or just plain couldn't shift....i have raced plenty P5's in the NYC/NJ area and i beat them all...except one that had nitrous...but it was the driver definatly...

I have to get more power into my P5 Urgently...
Turbo or NA? I just can't make up my mind...:(

turbo....there isnt enough support for the N/A set up right now...go turbo......i know htis kid who built a beast of an old integ ls....he did the whole shit ls vtec head toda cams and all the best shit cost him well over $14000 invested in hi s car...granted it is a monster of a car....i think it may just be the fastest integ beside built up r's..but it will take a built up gsr to no end....he is running high 12's....i htink he ran at the nopi nationals last 2 wks ago and ran 12.7...if u get a turbo set up and spend like 5 or 6 for a custom set up.....nah not even custom go to tripoint and get that one and if u gonna spend more dough...call crower and they will do pistons and rods for u even a stroker kit.......it i sup to u

you certainly do speak the truth....HOWEVER....does it REALLY make any difference? NO....the fact remains that whom ever the other person was...THEY GOT SPANKED!! might not happen to them again up aginst a P-5....but then again....ya just never know!!! :{D

Just a comment from me who has both cars... it was definitely the driver mazdaspeedgirl!! My wifes PR5 has some nice pick up but no way could she beat me in the MP3!!

Non offense taken guys. :) i am suprised at myself, but I guess I shouldn't be. I am a very skilled driver, if I do say so myself.

I tear it up in my miata! I race guys down twstie roads and they always say "Daaaaamn you can drive!" Especially since my miata is a stock 01 (142hp) and has no susp mods, where as the guys in my club that I race have strut tower braces, rear braces, sway bars all the way around and kyb or Koni shox.

I don't mean to sound like Michelle, but there was this one time on Lime Creek Road I was racing a 2001 Camaro SS SLP in my lil miata and I totally kicked his ass on every turn!! Damn, he was hott too...he got spanked.....hee hee....*devilish grin*

I would go turbo, b\c I had NOS on my MP3 and it was quick, but on a cold night you will not feel the car pulling. Turbo will feel like a NOS all the time. The fastest car that I raced with NOS was a Mustang (Rustang) GT and on half a bottle on a cool night I kept up with him. If I had a full bottle I would have got the jump on him. I am going turbo, I am going to use 8 PSI, which is about 220 HP at the flywheel, so that is about 200 HP at the wheel maybe. With a 55 shot of NOS your running about 195 HP. So I hope that helps if you were thinking about using NOS. I do not think there are really any other N\A routes to go, there really isn't anything out there to make our cars go fast wiht out forced induction.
