Can the MSP use a blockguard? Does anyone make one? Would adding a blockguard help to reinforce the engine's strength so a person could safely turn the boost up higher?

Forgive me if a blockguard doesn't make sense on our car. I've relatively recently jumped on to the turbo bandwagon from a 93 VTEC naturally aspirated Prelude :)

Block guards are only successful nad needed when you plan on boosting an open deck block. Mazda does not use an open deck block design, so block guards are not needed.

OIC... Could you elaborate on exactly what an open deck block design is?

instead of a soild block all the way to the walls of the cly, u got a space between the block and cly, or "open deck" i think honda did it for cooling purposes....
