i was racing my friends on the freeway, and we all went hella fast, i pushed my car to 123 mph and still kept going but i stopped because i didn't wanna get a ticket, does anyone know whats the limit on the car of how fast you can go????

fastest I've been in one of my cars was my supercharged Contour SVT. It was bouncing off the rev limiter between 158-162. That was some scary shit. I was 18, thought I was awesome....now I'm 25 and KNOW I'm awesome!! hehehe

I did about 135 MPH in my RX-7 with plenty of pedal left. My Protege ES didn't like going much over 115. My truck is electronically limited to 110, but pulls up there no sweat.

The dudes question was "what's the limit on OUR car or how fast will it go?". The fastest I have gone was right at 120mph. I didn't have the patience to try to go faster because it was accelerating at a snails pace.

And since everyone is sharing, the fastest I have actually driven a car was 142mph (+ or - 1mph) in my sohc Honda Civic.

i know it can go faster, but this was scary enough on a farm backroad
it went 123 - 0 pretty damn fast tho, good brakes
i'd done 135 for about 15 mins on my way down to UofI once last year in my '91 base model dodge stealth
went from Kankakee to Rantoul in a heartbeat :D

Fastest I have gone in my Speed is ~80? I dont go fast anymore.

Fastest I have gone was ~155 in my WRX. The speedo only goes up to 150 and it was pegged past it. Perhaps the tyres changed the speedo reading, but I am assured that it is a difference of 5-7 mph at that speed.
That was real fast... In that car, I would consistantly hit 125 on the way to work. That stupid car used to make me drive fast.

Lets see....I've done top end in my '82 RX7 (estimated to be ~130...I calculated it by my tach at the time)
Also done top speed (?) in my parents old '91 Crown Victoria LTD LX...that thing was on a pocket of air...amazing!
And finally I've done about 125 in my MSP so far, felt like she had more too...and I've done over 110 in my old Mirage & old Civic Si.

Damn...I absolutely LOVE speed...I just need to get into the SCCA so I can do it more often!

300 mph in less than seven seconds. Okay, I wasn't "driving" the car. I covered a news story several years ago for the Fox Kids Club in my market at the yearly air show. It was a fiberglass '57 Chevy p/u powered by two Rolls Royce jet engines from an F-4 Phantom. The driver said the rate of consumption for the JP-5 fuel was 80 gallons a second with afterburner. It was fun as hell, but scared the living shit out of me!

I was with my buddy in his moms Infinity Q45. There were six of us in the car and we did 140. Then on the return trip someone else was driving. We were at 115 and he almost took and exit ramp by accident cause he thought the road went that way. He yanked the wheel back oover and we just went sideways I was like "doh shoulda put on my seat belt..." We ended up going backwards and spun agin in the median (it was all grass) going straight agin with the car stalled we swerved around a sign post and then stopped. Everyone started laughing because we didn't die. Two dislodged tires and that was it.
