i was thinking after seeing price of silicone connectors that i would just buy a cia for another car and use the one from that and while i was at it i would use the cai and cut it dow to run off stock piping and make short ram! what you think?

i have hks ssqv venting to atmospher... so no recirculating and i would mount braket to hold CAI so it dont break stock plastic

use the stock piping and cutting another cai to make a sri ? still need to figure out where to mount the temp sensor...using the stock piping would make it the length of ur current cai

either way it will allow me to replace air box and put a filter on and away from all the heat! the temp sensor wont cause CEL i dont beleive. if so i will drill hole and place the sensor in a rubber fitting

no i think you need that temp sensor. i remember when i first got the car, my friends and i took off the stock airbox to check out possibilities and we forgot to plug in a sensor, the car would start up and then die.
