Does any one know how much gas mileage we sacrifice when we up the boost? I am going to set my MBC about 8 psi and was wondering how much it will cut back gas? I have read that the colder plugs will reduce gas mileage. Is this true?

turning boost will eat more fuel than plugs will.

yeah, but how bad will it eat fuel, I mean am i turning my car into a V-12 gas hog by turning up the boost?

nooo way. maybe a few MPG at most. and plugs will have the SMALLEST change if any. virtually not measurable.

Cool, i just want to make sure that my this MBC isnt going to drain my wallet. What is your advice on the colder plugs?

I saw no decrease in gas milage when I turned my boost up to 10psi. But hey, I'm just a guy with a boosted car...

look, its stats- when you turn up boost, the engine will have to burn more fuel and oxygen to create the extra power. unless the engine wants to blow itself up...

get NGK plugs. one step colder should be about $8-$10 for 4.

there are other threads about gas mileage, and you just made one about the plugs
Do you NOT know where the search button is?

Give it a rest. Seems like everytime you don't know the answer you say search. If you knew the answer it would be far easier to ANSWER it then say go use the search. Some people want current information, if you don't like it.. fine then don't read or reply to the thread.
