Alright I put on Spool's hardpipes and the hks ssqv and it sounded great then I installed my MBC and set the boost at around 9 psi. The first drive out I heard this really loud grinding noise around 4500 rpms in second gear and it goes to redline. I got really scared because I've never heard this sound. Everyone who rode in my car told me it was some type of vibration but it doesn't exactly sound like that. It's more like a metal on metal grinding noise it's really hard to describe. It's only on WOT and when I hit full boost too. It does not come on at partial throttle. Today I took the MBC off and it didn't make the noise in second gear but now I hear it slightly in first. It's just really discouraging and it makes my car sound like shit. Help me out.

damn....sorry to hear that man....I have no clue, but I truly hope nothin' is wrong w/ your baby man. Every time I hear the slightest noise I get concerned until I locate & eliminate it (loose change, CD in Passenger door, etc...) Good luck!:)

Maybe one of the hard kit pipes is rattling. Check all your connections and try moving them by hand and seeing if they hit anything.

Yeah I'll look over them again. Does anyone else have anything they could point out?

It might be the pipes hitting the radiator fan. i know for sure they said this happened to ion's fmic piping in the turbo mag project msp. its due to the engine movement. could be the same reason in your situation.

yeah.....what he said. have someone put ur car in 1st gear w/ the ebrake on and slowly let out the clutch. u'll see how much flex u're getting; really scary. that's what turbo mag did.
