Comment from an AMG owner

Stopped by a friends house that I hadn't seen since I bought the p5. He's into fast cars and motorcycles. So of course he wanted to take a look at the new car. The funniest part was he asked to take it for a spin. Guess what car he currently drives? A mercedes SLK 32 AMG.

He commented on the handling and getting to drive a manual, his AMG came only with the auto. So even after 6 month owning it there are still more reasons to be happy about the car. Even if it does have 220hp less than his AMG.

he must definitely feel a difference though, the mercedes is much smoother, maybe with the same handling, but forsure not as harsh of a ride
and he has a little less than twice the power of the p5, thats something you notice right away
more power is just a better feeling really.
glad he likes it though, ask him if he wants to trade, lol

No illusions the cars are comparable, but it did make me smile when he asked to drive it. When I was going to take his car for a spin I decided against it because the driver area was too small. He's only 5'5" so it fits him well. If the p5 had that hp you'd need some better aero package to keep it from flying. When I saw his engine I was pretty impressed.
