Well after almost getting ran off the road, because some 80 year old bastard couldnt hear worth a shit and was driving in the middle of my lane, ive decided to get rid of the annoying stock one. Any ideas for a new one, or a place I can find one?

Go with a nice air horn, they'll hear ya then. I installed one on my other car and about ran a guy off the road once cause it scared the bajeebies out of him. lol. You can get one at any auto store for around $40 or $30.

I'm actually looking for a replacement horn. I don't want that high pitched sound. I want that deep and loud big rig sound. ;)

I think I found the perfect horn sound. If you can't hear this, you'll feel 152dBA of it.

WARNING IT'S REAL LOUD!

Anyone have pics of where air horns would install? I have no idea where they would fix and what they would affix to...

I picked up this set from autozone for 24.99 which included a high and low horn which sound good together and was easy to install. Just hooked them up to the factory horn wiring behind the grill. I mounted one horn where the factory horn was mounted and the other on the other side behind the grill. Took under 30 mins to get the job done. I had the grill off before so it was easy to get off the secind time.

They are not air horns with a separate compressor, but they are sooooo much louder than the dinky stock horn buzzzzzz. People can actually hear me now......will try and get some pics up tomorrow

thx; that would help me out a ton. I'm on horn #3 right now...I just can't find one that hooks up easy that isn't lousy (disc style is my problem :) once I hook up something like someone is talking about, I think I 'll be fine (spin).

everyone seems to love a loud horn...but i feel the stock horn is already too loud for my taste (still girly sounding, but loud). i want my horn sounding like the euro cars with a little muffled quietness to it. i feel this esp when i press the lock button twice on the key fob and hear it beep. i find that annoying. with even louder horns that you all like to get, wouldn't doing that just blow off your ears?

I switched out my horn but it was a bit too big to fit in the "normal" area.

So I mounted it onto one of the radiator bolts.

This is not quite a how to but hopefully it will help someone with a horn replacement or grill removal:

I've attached a pic of the finished assembly on this forum.
