well... pull up ur e-brake and put it into 1st and mach the gas... or do a power brake... or pour a lil oil in front of both ur tires drive over them, hit the e-brake again and try that...

you cant on a stock auto p5....and dont even try to do a nuetral drop unless you hate you're tranny, BUT you can put on the spare tire and do a e-brake burnout, thats funny as hell, i left a 40 foot streak down the road doing that

^^^ pray really hard...
Im jking, I know the way to do it is to put it in drive, pull the ebrake, rev to about 2.5-3K rpms and then release your ebrake and you should get a chirp or a burn out. I have not seen anyone try to do one in an auto p5 before.

ive done it, but on a stock p5 i wouldnt consider it a burnout, ive only tried it on dry road though im sure if you did this in water or oil it would work

You mean like this automatic protege isnt doing a burnout, right? (http://www.protegeclub.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=12808&highlight=burnout)

that isnt a protege 5 now is it? even so not sure how he did that big of a burnout if its an automatic unless he placed something behind the back tires so it wouldnt move

neutral drop in no way would do that big of a burnout, i think he just put blocks or something in front of the back tires and gunned it, i dont see how a nuetral drop would do that, but i have never tried one and never will so i could be wrong

Yeah, putting shit behind the tires will really stop it from going anywhere.

KpaBap, i have seen people put heavy blocks and such behind their wheels and do this before so stfu, if they are high enough the car wont go over them

The secret is bleach. Pour some bleach down under the front tires and engage the ebrake. Powerbrake it a bit and floor the gas and you will be able to burnout with the best of them.

when i tried to powerbrake mine when it was stock it only revs to like 2200 rpm or so, not enough to do a burnout really..but that bleach and ebrake idea sounds promising

To do it without damaging the drivetrain you'll definately need some oil or bleach. Just make sure the tires are covered, don't just pull into the puddle and try it. Another thing I noticed with most of the fwd's I've tried doing burnouts is that they will drag the back tires with the ebrake on. I think that other post is funny-on of my former co-workers got the same car (green pro) as a rental. We beat the living shit out of it. We in fact did try doing dry burnouts holding the ebake. All it did was drag the back tires.

with your tires wet, turn your wheel all the way to the left of the right? then go for it...have fun...

geez, i havn't tried to do this for ages!!!
go to maccas, or your favourite burger place... take the trays with you you will need 2. drive onto trays, (back wheels) and engage the e-brake.... go full lock on the steering wheel and either plant it in first gear, if no success with that, try the ol' line locker trick (although this is only meant to work on RWD ATX's...)
line locker trick - left foot on foot brake, right foot plant on gas pedal, as you start to pull let the brake fully off, that should score you at least a chirp...
hope you have fun

Hey folks, no need to use oil; really bad for the track and the next guy in line will want to strangle you. When we drag race the old muscle cars, a little splash of clorox will really do the trick. Then when you back up in your stripes to pick your rubber back up, you're not getting them oily again. You're seriously glued to the pavement waiting for the tree to drop. Rev it up, hang on and pull the trigger.
I know, I know, y'all are just bullshitting around in the street, but the same thing still applies. Oil on the road is a bad idea!
Happy racing,
Rusty
