View Full Version : Yellow = Lower insurance rates?

So I just heard from a co-worker of mine telling me that I could get a discount because my Mazda MP3 is yellow.

He said that when he asked his insurance company about discounts the agent mentioned a discount for yellow colored vehicles. We assume it was because yellow is brighter and very visible. Now I haven't confirmed this with my insurance, but I will definitely call them up to ask about it.

Anyone else hear about this? A ton of you out there own yellow Mazdas, so please let us know if you were given discounts for your yellow car. I'm dissappointed that my insurance company never mentioned that for my car.

I honestly don't remember which insurance he mentioned. Hmm... but I'll try to remember to ask him on Monday about that. OH well... just thought I could rack up another discount somewhere. :D

yellow is actually more expensive for insurance because it increases the probability of theft, while black costs more because you can't see it as well at night.
