Im new but old (w/ pix)

Hola, I have been here for months lurking but I now have my speed. It is a week old with 694 miles :D When I got it, it had 5 miles on the ODO.

Impressions: Wow. That was my first word. I don't even think I can describe how I feel about it except that I love it!!! Break in is so hard. I started out not breakin 3k-rpm then 35k rpm now I have not gone over 4k.

First gear...eh sometimes I have problems but its cool. Reverse. OMG I have to friggin karate kick it out of reverse but then again its all good.

I get looks and props from people. I even had someone walk up to me and sorta eye rape my car. He gave me props saying how good it looked. Of course I was pumped.

Thanks. Forgot to add about th MSP colors. I love them all. They are nothing but shift changers. I went to Magaritas to pick up some food. Under the light the front end was blue, the driver front wheel well (cant think right now) was purple and my door was aqua. It was bad ass!

thats cool as hell man.. i kinda like the look of a real dark blue or purple also.. maybe an idea for the far future, nothing right now tho.. i'm worried about all my piping,exhaust,etc first.

but anyway... your car looks mighty sweet. i love the way the rims sets off the lazer blue. it looks really good.

Nice looking car! I have the same color and love it. I know EXACTLY what you mean about karate chopping it out of reverse. You kinda get used to it though. I remember I used to accidently put it into 3rd or 5th sometimes. It either doesn't do it anymore or I'm used to it now. Have fun with the car!

Thanks guys. It is great to have a car that you love and wanted for a long time. I already did my first mod. I replaced the headlight bubls with Silverstars. I lucky because the Protege and Focus utilize the same 9003st bulb. Next is window tint when I get some money :D

CustomMSP- (rofl) I don't know why I have that there. I was reading a while ago about the year models and decided to put that there for the late color change but have been too lazy to change it to 03.5 :D

Not to threadjack or piss anybody off but how do think the techs that pdi the speeds drive them? Do you really think that they allow the car to get to operating temp then only go to 3-4k rpm?
I know, I can't speak for all techs out there but I know most people will beat the snot out of new cars......If its gonna break I want it to break for me not the customer buying the car.
Now if it was going to damage the car don't you think that the car would be damaged from that and it wouldnt really matter how you drove the car the first 500miles?
