Just picked up my MSP today and now that I go to drive it again, it won't start! I was playing with the stereo and if flipped up after I had pushed SRC. Now it is shut and I can't get it open. Did I say my car won't start!? It just clicks. I tried the alarm override button and nothing. Does it have anything to do with the alarm? Do I need a code from the dealer? Please help. Thanks.

Tried it. How long do you have to hold it?

Your battery is dead call the dealer they will replace it. Common for cars that sit on display for long periods of time in the cold.

you have to hold it down while pressing the clutch AND turning the ignition key, not just press

What caused/causes this to happen so I don't do it again?

u prob didnt disarm the alarm after u plugged the battery back in. or u started ur car after it was triggered. hit unlock, lock, and unlock again if u see the dash LED flash when ur car is off.

Okay, it happens almost all the time now. I park my car in the garage so I don't arm it. But I'm in the process of trying to find out how to work/set up the stereo. I do this in ACC mode. After I come back out to go somewhere, the car does not start! So I have to go through pushing the override and depressing the clutch to start it. It's a pain in the ass!
Anyone have any ideas?

Haha! I'm beginning to think that too. But there's gotta be something I'm doing.
Where is this mysterious button? I want to find it before I have to have my car towed to a dealer.

i think it arms when you lock the doors

Yes the alarm arms if you lock the doors with the remote. No need to hit it a second time for the horn chirp.
The override button is up under the dashboard behind the steering wheel (above where the pedals are). It's tough to find.

The override button is up under the dashboard behind the steering wheel (above where the pedals are). It's tough to find.My override button is NOT there. I know where its SUPPOSED to be, Ive laid on the floor and looked EVERYWHERE for it and it is not under there. Anywhere. I found the box, the motion sensor, the connectors Blah Blah Blah and no override button.
Its one of the many things I have to get taken care of when I get a chance to get back to the dealer.
