THere is a hesitation, for more info see the hesitation sticky thread. There is also a clunk from the rear suspension heard when going over bumps, supposedly a fix in dec. You should try and get it for around 16k + ttl. I love my msp.
If you need more info the sear function will help you out.

I am buying one soon as well. Definately read the threads here, I have spent a lot of time reading all the topics. Makes me want it even more. I am deciding between this and a RSX S-Type and I am pretty sure this is the car for me.
$2500 now. Last Monday it was $2000 here in the Detroit area. If it went up then that will help even more.
Just to let you know I have been looking at this car for 3 months of so.
I have been quoted the following:
$373/month
$389/month
$273/Month
I figure that I will wait till Jan. (as long as there are still any MSP's around) and they will even be a better deal. Noone buys in Jan.
You can go to Mazdausa.com and search inventory in your area.
I amy by mine in some small town in Ohio as I bet I could get a good deal and it would be a nice ride back! =)

type-s is not as sporty as some people think
i was between the two as well.......i got MSP and my girlfriend (at that time) got Type-s.
too much to list, but overall i like the MSP better.......plus it was like 4k cheaper.

good points
it all goes back to the point: if you bought a MSP to drag race then you are pretty much dumb, buy it for looks and handleing.
(it is fast, but there are plenty of faster cars out there in a drag race)

ill tell ya...your a fuckin moron...big deal, if your car was really shitty unlike everyone elses...then the dealer would have done something about it...seriously unless you have a horrible dealer they will help you out all you can, plus you have a warrenty...unless you voided it...so go get whatevers wrong fixed and shut the fuck up...you are making 17 year olds look bad by acting like a 4 year old...

I tend not to pay attention to people who can't complete a normal sentence and have spelling difficulties. If you can't type out a sentence then I am sure you can't take care of a car IMHO.
Anyway...
I like the Type-S. It is a nice ride. But there are more pro's for the MSP for me. I don't drag race, I don't even plan on any mods really, except for a couple gauges maybe. I like the looks of the MSP and the last dealer let me and my wife take one out for 30 minutes and it was a fun ride that I would like to experience everyday! =)
No matter which one I end up with, the MSP or RSX, I feel I am a winner as both cars will make for a fun few years. Wife is getting the Accord so I get to have a fun car without fear of a growing family. But man I love the MSP. I wish I was able to get one this week, but it isn't possible. Got 4 months left on my current lease.
