I was wondering, does our car come with a oil cooler from the factory?.

Talking to someone in the know, no, it does not.

Yes it does. I accually bought this cooler and put it on my MP3. The MSP does come with a water-cooled oil cooler that sits under the oil filter.

yeah, i've seen that type of oil cooler. they had them on the old mx6 turbo cars. honestly, i think it is useless to an extent. i guess to keep costs down thats what mazda had to do. i want to get a better one but well see.

there is nothing under the oil filter.....I have tried to find this exact thing out i have looked all over the dam thing and never seen and oil cooler so unless some can take pics of a stock msp motor with an oil cooler I say it does not come with an oil cooler...

I hate to break the news to you and richelesro, but there is an oil cooler under the oil filter. Crawl under the car and take a look. There are a couple of water lines running to it. It's round, and only sticks out an inch or two.

Ford used the same setup on their SVOs and Turbocoupes in the mid 80's.
