Well i've finally gotten the money together to do a body kit on my ES. The question here is how much modifying will i have to do to fit on the sport 20 front bumper and the Autoexe or Mint blue body kit including the Fog lights (mp3 style i assume) or am i just wasting my time in trying to fit all these jdm p5 parts on an ES.

well...the sport20 bumper is just an mp3/p5 bumper...acquiring that would be as easy as going to the dealer (or a body shop) and having the part ordered...as for mintblue, dont know where you wuold be able to get those, as far as i know nobody imports them yet (and importing on yourself would cost a lot of money)...autoexe is your best bet...might be a few available if you look around. as for the foglights, unless you like spending 200+ on a single light, you'd be better off looking at the aftermarket....ive heard piaa 40 series fit, and i currently have a set of catz SR on my mp3. lets say 400 for a US spec bumper, 200 for a set of fogs, and about 350 for the autoexe lip...thats about 950 for parts (im sure im off here...prices may differ)...and then painting...lets just say about 300 for painting (im sure im off here too)...so about 1250 total. you could probably get the WW kit for about that price...but im not sure you would want something that outrageous seeing as you want JDM parts. hope i could help.

thanks for the information. I actually semi-like the wings west kit, although the pic they have on the site isn't the greatest and i'm not real fond of the little wings on the back edge of the front bumper. I've already got the mazdaspeed side skirts so i was looking for something to accent those and give a smooth clean look. You said that you used the catz driving lights. Do they mount in the same fashion as the factory with the two bolts being on the side or are they fabbed mounting.

you can use the factory mounting locations, but its a real PITA...the mounts are really different...it took a lot of washers and elbow grease to get them tightened and aligned...if i had to do it again id find another set of lights.

i switched my bulbs in my fogs saturday, and it truely was a p.i.t.a. getting up in there, my hand kept on banging the damn bracket or something under there!

LOL, I'm used to bangin knuckles so thats not a problem. If you think workin on our cars is bad you should try a late 70's vintage Kawasaki KZ1300 in-line 6cyl touring bike. Major PITA. Thanx for all the help. Once I get everything in and do the conversion I'll get some before and after pics up.

Let me know if you need any Mazda parts to do the conversion. I might be able to help as we work closely with Mazda NA and several of their dealerships here in the Bay Area.

We also have the lips and grilles in stock for both MINTBLUE and AUTOEXE. That means no waiting time and no worries.
