BOV sound question

hey, i'm not sure if this is already a thread but if it is feel free to yell at me lol. well anyway i want to install a blow off valeve so i can have the sound the eclipse spyder made in 2fast 2furious. i like the turkey sound, i think its unique but i like the other sound alot better. no i'm not a ricer, either. well if anyone can help me out i'd appreciate it

that eclipse was a joke. to get a loud sound, you need to vent which isn't good. you will get a sound by switching and recircing, but it won't be exactly what you want. do a search on it

never saw the second one. i got sick watching the previews for it. it's a crime what they did to those cars......but i saw the first one. does it sound the same as the "turbo" eclipse in the first one?

i'm not too sure but i know they have the sound i want on this one website, go to blowoffvalves.com and i think it my be greddy or one of the other ones. go to sound/video clips and listen to the one for the supra. i don't know if that BOV will make that sound for our car, but i would really like to have it

the greddy type s is the one from the first one i believe, at a show i heard an eclipse that had it on it and it sounded exactly like the movie.

the greddy and hks give very different sounds. the greddy sounds exactly like the one from the eclipse in the first movie. the hks is a fav among supra owners. it's a very distinct high pitched shriek. both will make the sound they are supposed to on our car....well, you might have a turkey mixed in with it though.

i don't mind the turkey at all, i just prefer the nice shriek. if the turkey is mixed in its fine. also which one of those can be recirculated and will that affect the sound at all?

Lol striker this is just like what we were talking about yesterday. OH and the eclipse from the first movie was using the greddy and the supra was hard to find out but it does sound like the hks. At first it sounded like it was recirculating but then I heard it, have the movie on my computer listening intently forever lol, but jeez the turbo is reeeeeal loud on the supra when he races the ferrari you can hear it so clearly sounds awsome.

ok now that has been discussed before, many times. but i'll save you the trouble of searching. both can be recirculated but only the greddy will sound pretty much the same. the hks recirculation fitting requires the removal of the fin insert and therefore you lose that distinct hks whistle. visit www.collectracecars.com for a detailed writeup/pics/sound recordings of the hks ssqv recirculated on an evo.
