There has been alot of negative threads on the MSP. I though I would start a thread on how awsome the MSP is. I know its been bought up before and I apoligize for binging this back from the dead. I been driving my MSP for 1 month now and put in 1,300 miles with absolutely no problems! I love my MSP!

Don't be sad, be glad! Turn that frown upside down!

MSP = Badass! (strike)

to tell you the truth I never felt hesitation. Well maybe slight hesitation at 3000 rpm. It was so small that I tought it was normal, but it did bug me. I got flashed recently and It alot smoother and accelerates faster through 3000 rpm. I never heard the "clunk" people talk about. I bought my car 1 month ago so maybe they fixed that cuz other fellow MSP owners in Orlando have not complained about anything yet!

What is this "leak" you speak of? I broke the car in nice and easy...it only had 5 miles when I bought it! Shes no longer a virgin. Infact shes been around the block a few times!

Let's see...leaky diverter valve or the coolant leak that sprays all over the hoses. I also have 2 new mystery sounds, but I'm not going to ruin the thread by complaining...hopeful the dealer can fix them & then I'll be happy again.

Oh yeah, this car does kickass though.l All you need to do is a 2nd-4th gear pull late at night when it's cool out & no one's around. You hardly ever get to do that so you almost forget how quick this car is & I don't even have any perf mods yet.

I think the MSP rocks! I have bought new cars before and had far worse problems (ok it was a GM) and I have had new cars (mazda) with no problems. Just remember what this car is, it's not an off the shelf vehicle. Admittedly, they could have refined it more but then it would be an '06. :)

Over all I LOVE MY MSP!!! (Trade Mark AGR) :D

Coming from the world of V8 and Turbo'd I4 Mustangs, this car is hands down much more fun to drive!! (thumb)

And now with the Flash, Protosport DP, Ric Gillis MBC set to 10bls, this car has more snap off the line and total power then when I first purchased it.

Handling is so much crisper then a V8 Mustang, that I can just fly through turns I used to have to brake heavier going into with my Mustang.

All in all, it’s a great car for the money, and with a few minor upgrades, can be made into an even better car. I love my MazdaSpeed!! Yeah, she's a keeper!

It definately not a drag car but who cares! Real racing is not on the drag strip! It is a really nice autocrossing car (thanks Racing Beat) and apparently Motor Trend thinks it a good auto-x car too:

"Infact the Mazdaspeed chasis was so good that it had us musing about how killer the Mazdaspeed protege would be with just a bit more power."

Walton said, "I could drive it way deeper (mazdaspeed protege) into the turns and take it much fater through the corners than the Dodge (SRT-4) or Focus (SVT)."

I get lots of props on my car from lots of people. I have friends driving new maximas a near new BMW 325, and a couple of GSRs but I got a trick look with a warranty. I'll pass big trucks without having to "plan" my pass too much. The car hammers through corners awesome...looks nice...reasonably quick...reasonably priced...decent on gas...turkeys are cool...ummmm... that's it.

I do like the cold weather though wish my car had power like that all the time.
