Hey has anyone found any aftermarket rotors that can be bolted on with the Speed's calipers? I know there are plenty for the ES and P5's but with the difference in rotor size on the speed I am afraid they won't work. Ever since I put on my Konig's the rust has become even more obvious. Yes, I know I can fix that or even make the dealer do it, but I would like to find a high quality anodized rotor so I won't have to worry about fixing it again down the road.

iON has a 12" kit with 2-piece rotors that uses the stock calipers/pads, a little spendy though. Don't know about others but I'm interested in some OE-size, cad plated, slotted please!

Anyone else having problems with rotor warpage? I don't push the car hard and don't autoX but still get a little pulsation (feels more like surge) when braking...

Same here! :(

I have called Power Slot about rotors, and they said that the MSP is on thier TO DO list. Till then it looks like I will be buying another set of OEM rotors.

ping - we'e got OE sized MSP rotors available in slotted or x-drilled w/ cadmium plating in silver, gold or black :)

biochembruin - we've got pics of the rotors themselves with the different colors of cad plating. But no pics installed. Generally most of our local guys go with our BBK's.

This is what the color options are:

Hey Jack, those look like KVR rotors; are they?

If so, I had called KVR and spoken to Terry(I think) a month ago, and they did not know that the MSP rotors were bigger than the MP3/P5 ones and that they were going to get started developing one for the MSP. I guess they did?

Are the rotors you carry cryo treated or hardened in any way?

Do you have the silver sloted rotors for the front and rear of the MSP?

What are the prices?

PLEASE UPDATE YOUR WEB SITE.

i thought that the rotors were the same for the mp3 and msp the parts guy at the dealership said they were the same, good thing i did not get them for my mp3

I would like some slotted ones for front at least, maybe rear on my MP3 in the silver,......prices??

srd555 - those are just a sample for color purposes :)

brokemp3 - MSP is slightly larger then the MP3 (rotors wise). The MP3's share the P5 braking system IIRC.

krb1482 - we'll send you the link shortly for this info ->

But since you just start with MSP oem blanks and drill/plate them...

The visible surface will still rust after a run.. and only the hub/holes/sides remain plated..

so for aesthetics.. it's not really worth it yet... might as well just paint the hubs.. but the holes/slots are cool...

damn.. stupid warping rotors.. . do vented rotors warp more easily than non-vented ones..

Yellospeed - areas which come in contact with the pads will eventually have the cad plating wear off. This contact area will however be free of rust due to the fact heat will evaporate the moisture.

Places which do not come in contact with the pad will remain plated to prevent corrosion when properly maintained.

Your stock rotors ARE vented in the front. Rotors warp due to several reasons. Vented allows a rotor to have a higher threashold before over heating. Soild rotors are generally used for the rears.

X-drilling helps to increase airflow as well as braking in the wet. Slotting helps to keep the pads clean, but do go through pads quickly vs. x-drilling.

Not that I'm in the market for rotors right now, but are there issues with these x-drilled rotors developing stress cracks?

Thanks.

Delivery_Guy - so far we have yet to have any issues due to stress cracks for x-drilling. If maintained properly, they're just as resistant to cracking as a stock pain rotor.

How much would a set of x-drilled rotors be for a mazdaspeed front and rear?

-you wouldn't happen to make a drum/disc conversion for old mopar a-bodies would ya? (105mph in quarter mile + 9" drum brakes = scary)

BlkZoomZoom - do you want cad plating?

Also, about your old Mopar.. give us the info, we have another company we deal with sometimes when we co-engineer brakes. They may have something that'll fit your application.

Hey Jack, maybe you want to set up a group buy for the rotors, I think we all need to upgrade our brake system somehow after all these mods for power. ;)

corksport has rotors, check out their site.
