Jacking this thread, not that it matters...
Hey tytanium-
Sounds great, but I have my doubts that I will make it. I haven't slept all week, grad school's a bitch, and I also doubt I would be able to talk my wife into another fall drive. I would really like to go though, and I will try...if for no other reason then to see your new hood. The picture I saw looks sweet. Anyway, thanks for the offer, I'll let you know if I can make it.

Also, has anyone heard if the new endlinks are out yet...or was that just a viscious rumor?

Not sure if anything on the P5's, but there has been talk that on the MP3's and MSP's that there is an issue with the position of the endlink bracket...kinda talkin out of my ass here...search for a thread titled clunk explained...or is it klunk...whatever.

the guy that posted "clunk explained" is selling the product you are describing. it is not made by mazda.

I know he is selling a product, but I thought there was also a mazda replacement part coming out soon. Maybe not though.

The only new Mazda part available is the E series bushings. They have never (and probably will never) issue new endlinks -- that has always just been a rumor that the endlinks are too tiny. The "clunk explained" thread was primarily for new bushings and a bracket that would change the position of the bushings - it mentioned very little about the endlinks except for the fact that the picture in the thread didn't have the stock endlinks. There are aftermarket endlinks available for the MSP I'm pretty sure....I think it was mentioned in that clunk thread.
Seriously, any time you want clunk info you're much better off just going to the MP3 section. That's got all you'll ever need (except for a permanent solution).

There is also a type of Dow Corning grease you can use that completely eliminates the clunk.

What type? Can anyone else support this?

I'll get what type it is from my mechanic at the dealer. He used it on the rear and it hasnt reared its ugly head yet. That was nearly 2300 miles ago.
