Boost Drop-off [Archive]

I've noticed that my boost will peak at 11.5psi, then slowly drop off to about 9.5 psi. Is this normal? Is there anything I can do correct this? Joe, if you are out there, I'd really like your input on this. Thanks in advance for your help.

Mine spikes to 9.5, holds at 8.5-9, and slowly falls to 8-8.5.

yeah, completely normal. part of the reason is the plastic piping. it expands so that it doesn't pop but in doing so, you lose pressure.

its normal...with a mbc or ebc...

When I added my CAI I noticed it didn't drop nearly as much as before also it doesn't spike as badly. Before the intake my boost would spike to almost 14psi and then drop back to around 11.5-12. Now with the intake it peaks at 13 and then drops to 12 so a lot better in my opinion.
