Modified tail lights

Hey guys, I was tired of having the same lights as everyone else so I decided to midify my first gen tail lights. Here is what they look like

I knwo they are altezza's but I ahte the stock lights....

I always wonded what altezzas would look like if you pulled em apart and painted the silver part to match the car. Anyone wana try. (sorry I don't have altezza's)

That is just the outside painted. I have tried to pull them apart to paint the chrome... but it took me over 3 hours... and I also needed 4 hours of glueing and sanding to get it back to shape so I won't do that again.

That's painted to color match the car cost $50 Cdn to get it done with clear coat of course.

I do have pics of my ride but they are too fuzzy for my liking... but you can take a took if you want.. the lights are not on the car at this time.. cause they where getting painted....

It looks good but I'm not into graphics at all. I just like a few well placed product stickers. Not too much overdone. Like, if you have a HKS oil filler cap, why would you put a Greddy sticker on your car. Things like that just piss me off.

That decal on my car is because I hve some front 1/4 panel paint damage. Someone shot an egg from 10 stories high and it chipped my paint hardcore. All the way to the primer. So I had to cover it up as I don't want to repaint a front fender cause it's not as good as OEM baked on paint... anyways.. that's the $80 reason I have the sticker rather then having to pay $300 to get it painted... and I find the car looks naked now without the decal...

Jcs I personally think it looks good something different better than some of those other fast and furious BS I've been seeing on cars. I have a simple question I need to buy some paint did the shop that you had the paint done supply it for you or did you get it from Mazda? You will have to excuse my ignorance, I am not up to snuff on this sort of thing, I image in my mind that the paint shop can get the color code and match it am I right?

what exactly does that mean? oh and didnt like at the beginning with the OLD OLD OLD board, ya know the beige,brown looking one, didnt someone post like the color code or something for the laser blue mica?....if thats the color you are looking for.

I'm not a huge fan of Altezzas either...just my personal taste...but yours were done in a very original way and I actually do like that look...good stuff!

I saw an MP3 with those taillights in New Mexico last weekend!
Wonder if it was you, though the MP3 I saw had Colorado Plates.

It was pretty cool seeing another MP3 on the road though! =)
