We are finished with the 3" exhaust, we change the muffler design, going with a large muffler N1 style. DP with Cat. is redesign also. there are the pics. I am still working on the pirces....let you guys know next week. we will do a group deal once we get the Auth. vendor status set up.
The Exhaust will be a 3 piece system, both 2.5 and 3" will be the same set up. We will have the Dyno charts when its ready.
Thanks Ben

Wait your company makes exhausts and they are called APEX using an "N1" Style muffler. It seems a little to close to Apei because many people referr to them as Apex.
kazson

i wouldnt worry about that too much. they been around since 92' and look to be pushin alot into the MSP. i cant wait to see the numbers on the exhaust..
i in no way have sny connection with them but check out there site good stuff

Ditto kazson. They are doing a marvellous job. They aren't affiliated aith Apexi (Apex Integration), but it really seems like they know their stuff! Can't wait to see the charts!

i want one.... when are prices going to be available?????
apexcivic

We are working on the price for the exhaust.... we are shooting for high quality products with an affordable price. most of the system are over $600+, we will be under $500 for the 3" system and even lower for 2.5" system. As far as the name issue.. "APEX" is not the name of our exhuast, thats our shop "Apex motorsports of Tempe". We are in no way trying to use the name "APEX" to gain business from members, most of the members knows APEX for our DP for the MSP.
The "S" pipe will not make production by us. we had our prototype 2.5" flow tested VS. the factory pipe, we saw min. gains...With the cost issue in mind, we are not going to make it. I just don't think $300 is a good HP-vs-$ ratio for the part.

I am not sure about the clearance on the 3" DP with our design. i dont think it will clear the cross member with out making bents in the DP, I be happy to work on it if more people are intersted on the 3" DPs. far as cost....We are selling the 2.5" cat units for $399. The 3" Cat. DP should be around $425 or less.

ok so our exhaust goes from the turbo to the s-pipe to the dp to rest of the exhaust components ? correct (being vague here) so what will it cost to go from the s-pipe and back in 2.5"? basically what will it cost for the dp and full exhaust?

ya i am soooo in as well. i really would like to purchase the 3" cat back as well as a 3" dp(if available) with a high flow cat on that. doesnt the msp come stock with two cats? if yes then the dp only has one and with a high flow cat mhmmmm the possiblities!!!
also does the 3" cat back system go over or under the axle. if under, will there be a clearence issue with a lowered vehicle(i will be purchasing iback PRO lowering springs)?

I am putting the 3" DP on the Fab list next. our exhaust system will go under the axle, this make less bents in the cat-back system. on a non-lower MSP the 3" exhaust has a 7"+ ground clearance from our test car. the min clearance we suggest is 4". there should not be any problems on lower MSPs.

The exhaust looks just like the old 2.5" exhaust. angles out to the right side, but now with a bigger muffler it looks mean!!!!but quite sound until you get on it. do a search in group buy section. the pics for the 2.5" are in the post.

I will try to do it, I will post the finish product pics when we reinstall on to AZSpeeds car with the sound clip. no silencer on this muffler, i dont think it needs it....dont mind the pirce yet, its not set in stone. we will make it very fair. we are only offering the system with the Tsudo "N1" style muffler. dont worry....I would not use it unless I think its a good product and for me to put my name on it.

10-21-2003, 01:45 AM
Yeah, Tsudo sounds SO damn nice.
Eric-BlackMSP
10-21-2003, 03:01 PM
I really dont want to use the Tsudo exhaust :( My friend has it on his eclispe, it is a nice exhaust but I really wanted a known brand like Apexi N1 and not a N1 style. Call me crazy.
Hey ben is there anyway we could work something out? Like you put a N1 on my exhaust? Hit me up with a answer.
The tsudo does sound nice, but I just prefer name brand, plus Tsudo is liek psuedo and that means fake :).

I'm very interested in a 3" turbo back for under $800. hmmm I feel the spending of my X-mas bonus already. an audio file would be nice though before I'd shell out the $$$. I've been burned before and like to see/hear the product before purchase.
Eric-BlackMSP
10-21-2003, 07:29 PM
The tsudo is a very deep sounding muffler, it sounds really nice, but on some cars it does sound like a drone. My friends 2G is the prime example, when he is crusining it is a little louder then most other exhausts, and then when he wails on it, it is like a low rumble then steadily getting higher and higer.
I just hope apex will let me add a Apexi N1 onto thier catback instead of paying for the tsudo. I really wanted the HKS ti!! :(
But I am NOT paying spool's 750+shipping, that is a rip off imo :(

we can work something out after we finish the exhaust. but price will go up with a expensive exhaust muffler. how about we talk about it after you hear the sound clip?
